27th Arthroscopy & Arthroplasty Courses Utrecht, The Netherlands

The international Arthroscopy & Arthroplasty Courses Utrecht will be held for the twenty-seventh time in 2017. The congress is being organised in close corporation with the Anatomy department of University Medical Center (UMC) Utrecht and will be held from July 3-7 2017. Registration is now open on the new website.
The Arthroscopy & Arthroplasty Courses Utrecht focus on state-of-the-art treatments in sports medicine, trauma and osteoarthritis of the knee, shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist. Internationally renowned guest speakers will give lectures and live demonstrations of the latest surgical techniques. Course participants will have ample time to practice the surgical techniques under expert supervision in the UMC Utrecht cadaver anatomy lab.
Interest in the congress has increased substantially over the years, both nationally and internationally. It is credited for its unique teaching setting, high educational standard, renowned faculty and excellent cadaver lab facilities in cooperation with UMC Utrecht. Delegates form 22 countries visited the 2016 edition of the courses.
The course is accredited each year by the Dutch Orthopaedic Association (NOV) and is recommended by internationally renowned orthopaedic associations such as ISAKOS, ESSKA, SECEC and NVA.
After twenty-seven years, we have said farewell to the founders of these unique courses, Jaap Willems MD PhD and Arthur Lim MD PhD. The organizing committee is led by course director Rob Janssen MD PhD. Registration for the courses is now open through the new website www.shoulder-elbow-knee.nl.

27e Arthroscopy & Arthroplasty Cursus Utrecht
De internationale Arthroscopy & Arthroplasty Cursus Utrecht wordt in 2017 voor de 27e maal gehouden. Het congres wordt in nauwe samenwerking met de afdeling anatomie van het UMC Utrecht georganiseerd en vindt dit jaar plaats van maandag 3 t/m vrijdag 7 juli. Inschrijvingen zijn vanaf heden mogelijk via de vernieuwde website.
Centraal op de Arthroscopy & Arthroplasty Cursus Utrecht staat de ‘state of the art’ behandeling van sportgeneeskunde, trauma en artrose voor de knie, schouder, elleboog, hand en pols. Internationaal gerenommeerde gastdocenten behandelen in colleges en live demonstraties de laatste chirurgische technieken. Vervolgens kunnen de cursisten onder deskundige begeleiding de nieuwe technieken zelf toepassen in het anatomisch lab van het UMC Utrecht.
De belangstelling voor het congres is in de loop der jaren zowel nationaal als internationaal sterk toegenomen. Het unieke karakter van de cursussen, het internationale topniveau en de hoge kwaliteit van de preparaten – dankzij de samenwerking met het UMC Utrecht – trok afgelopen jaar deelnemers uit 22 landen.
De cursus wordt jaarlijks geaccrediteerd door de Nederlandse Orthopedische Vereniging (NOV) en aanbevolen door internationaal erkende orthopedische verenigingen, zoals ISAKOS, ESSKA, SECEC en NVA.
Na 27 jaar is afscheid genomen van de oprichters van deze ‘Utrecht cursus’, Jaap Willems en Arthur Lim. Het nieuwe team wordt geleid door Rob Janssen (orthopedisch chirurg Maxima Medisch Centrum Veldhoven). Registratie voor de cursussen is vanaf heden mogelijk via de nieuwe website www.shoulder-elbow-knee.nl.
